Is The Free Tarot really free?
Yes. Single-card and three-card draws, the daily card, all 78 card meanings and the tools are free with no account. AI-assisted readings include a small free allowance each day (more when you sign in for free). Premium is optional.
Do I need an account?
No. You can draw cards and read every card meaning without signing up. A free account saves your readings to a history and gives you more free AI readings per day.
How are the cards drawn?
Spreads are drawn on our server with a cryptographically secure random number generator. Each card has a 30% chance of appearing reversed, and your question does not influence which cards come up.
Which tarot deck does the site use?
The 78-card Rider–Waite–Smith tradition: 22 Major Arcana cards and 56 Minor Arcana cards in four suits — Wands, Cups, Swords and Pentacles.
What does a reversed card mean?
A reversed card usually points to the same theme as the upright card, but blocked, delayed, turned inward or taken too far. Every card page lists its reversed meaning and keywords.
How do the AI readings work?
An AI model running on Cloudflare Workers AI writes a reading from your cards, their positions and your question. Readings are generated automatically and are not reviewed by a person.
Is my question private?
Your question is used only to generate your reading and, if you are signed in, to save it in your history. It is not used by us or by Cloudflare to train AI models.
What does Premium include and cost?
Starlight Premium costs US$2.99 a month or US$24.99 a year. It includes up to 50 in-depth AI readings per day, up to 10 follow-up questions per reading (fair-use limit of 60 follow-ups per day) and a permanent reading history. You can cancel online at any time.
Can I get a refund?
EU and UK consumers can request a refund within 14 days of purchase; users elsewhere within 7 days of purchase or renewal, by emailing support@thefreetarot.com. See the Refund Policy for details.
Can tarot predict the future?
No. Tarot is a tool for reflection and entertainment. Readings here are not predictions and are not medical, legal or financial advice.
Which languages are available?
English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Spanish and French.
