Which spread should I use?
- Past · Present · Future: to understand how a situation developed and where it is heading.
- Situation · Obstacle · Advice: when you feel stuck and want a next step.
- Mind · Body · Spirit: for a general self check-in.
- Celtic Cross: for complex questions involving many people or factors; ten cards give a lot of information and suit readers with some experience.
How the Celtic Cross is laid out
Card 1 goes in the centre with card 2 laid across it. Cards 3 to 6 sit below, left, above and right to form the cross, and cards 7 to 10 form a column on the right from bottom to top. Read the cross first (the situation), then the staff (you, your environment, hopes and fears, outcome).
